Came here around 3 on Memorial Day and there was no wait at all. The servers were all really friendly and helpful. I got the half rib dinner with 2 small sides and added tri tip to the order. This was enough food for 2 people! I liked the ribs over the tri tip. Would recommend getting the corn bread to share if you're with a bigger party.

I haven't been to Phil's in over a decade and was unsure if it would be as good as I remember. Turns out Phil's is still one of the best bbq even after having Texas bbq. The value and quality you're getting can't be beat. You order first at the counter and then seat yourself. We got the onion rings, beef rib, and baby back ribs. Meat was super tender and flavorful - came right off the bone. Love their fresh cut French fries and Mac salad! The service is also great.

Love this place, I've had the pleasure to come in and dine twice. There's always a line so you they're doing something right here. Even though there's a line it goes quickly and the food is worth waiting for. So far I've both beef n pork ribs. Their pretzel, Caesar salad, and potato salad. Let tell you that sauce is delicious, makes you want to douse your food into it multiple times. The full rack of beef was disappointing with only 3 pieces, don't know why they call it "full rack" when it's pieces. The meat was nice and juicy though. Now the pork rack was a full set of 12 pieces and meat was juicy as well. The pretzel was delicious, that one pretzel feeds 2 people. The potatoes salad so good, with large chunks. The salad was my least favorite which was bummer. I love my greens. The romaine lettuce was old and wasn't tasty. They also have multiple sinks if you don't want to go all the way to the restroom. The parking is large but still not quite big enough for the amount of people that come in.

My husband and I were in San Diego for our baby moon and being that I'm originally from California, I had to take him to Phil's for their amazing BBQ! We went to the Point Loma location and there was a wait outside the restaurant but it wasn't too long before we ordered and we found a seat at a booth pretty quickly. Service was awesome, the servers were great and I always appreciate good service. I'm not a big carnivore myself but Phil's is the one place that I'll go whenever I want BBQ! I wasn't too hungry so my husband and I split the full rib dinner with cole slaw and sweet baked beans as well as a side of pulled pork. He also ordered cookies for dessert :) And of course, as expected, we were not disappointed after our meal! My husband was impressed and enjoyed the BBQ more than I thought he would and I, obvi, loved it! Whenever I'm in San Diego, I make sure to make Phil's a part of our food itinerary so I'm happy that he loved it and we'll definitely be back whenever we're back in town!

Not too shabby Phil's BBQ. Food came out quick, great customer service, etc. I'd probably eat here everyday if I could afford it

Phil's bbq always hits the spot. It's our go-to restaurant whenever we are down in SD and I am happy to report that the quality is still as good as the first time I had it. We got two orders of full rack of ribs for 4 people with an extra large side of fries. Friendly staff. Generous portions of ranch..can't wait to come back.

5/5 Delicious food. Nice ambiance. Reasonable prices. What more is there to say? Definitely recommend!

Great service from Brandon at the bar, enjoyed my date with the wife , 100% recommended!!

Came by on a Thursday night around 8pm. Great spot for a meal. The line was just around 10-15 minute wait to get up to the register to order. You then receive a buzzer to notify you when your food is ready. Best bang for your buck would be the ticklers. We love to get these because they come with two onion rings, good amount of fries, coleslaw and generous single portion of protein. Added bonus is to order a toasted bun! You seat yourself and wait til your buzzer goes off to pick up your order at the counter. It is yummy! Plus you can always ask for ranch or more bbq sauce for no additional cost!
